Worshippers of Pholtus, lend me your ears. Yes! It is the One True Path, which leads us to salvation and glory. The ways of Pholtus are truly Just. He lets his Divine Light shine upon the righteous and unrighteous alike. Pholtus truly illuminates our lives with his glory.
Heretics are warned.... ignoring the One True Path is one of the highest crimes against Pholtus, and arguing against the One True Path is to allow the vile darkness into your world and certain death.
The Power of Pholtus can be witnessed by simply observing the Diving Hand that sets the course of the Sun and the Moon throughout the year. The World as we know it would be a barren waste if it wasn't for Pholtus. His Light shines upon our crops to make them grow strong and to keep us from stumbling blindly about in the darkness.... as do the heretics that surround us across our borders. The fate of the heretic will surely be eternal darkness and the big sleep of course.
The Laws of Pholtus are designed to keep us on the One True Path, and are detailed in the Pietistical. Pholtus deserves our complete exclusive devotion and active service to ensure the survival of the Pale. We must pay our tithes and taxes without complaint, attend all prescribed temple masses, obey our betters, defend and assist those in power.... including the instruments of our laws, and pray for divine wisdom.
His Worship Ogon Tillit is our perfect role model on how we should devoutly lead our lives in the Glory of Pholtus. As his Holiness gives freely, wholeheartedly, and without hesitation so should we.
The Priest giving the sermon will then proceed to light a large and small candle of incense, loudly declaring, "This is the Sun (proceeding to light the larger candle) which illuminates the 'One True Path'. This is the Moon (lighting the smaller candle), which holds sway over the tides of the world. The Power and Might of Pholtus is truly great and wondrous.... let us all give him praise and glorify him through silent prayer. Let us pray."
Before the releasing of his servants, the attending priest should lead his congregation and sing O' Blinding Light.
