- The new city of Chendl is commissioned by King Thrommel. It is the only planned city in the Flanaess, and replaces an older city of Chendl which was located near where Crockport now stands. (Fate of Istus p.83)

Notes
WG8 Fate of Istus names the founder of Chendl in 283 CY as Thrommel III, but this is certainly an error, as the 1983 box set (Guide, p.21) previously establishes that Thrommel II reigned in 526 CY Thrommel I is almost certainly still the ruler at this point, and LGG p.41 suggests Thrommel I founded Chendl to serve as his new capital.
