• A horde of creatures from the Ethereal Plane attack northern Tenh, slaying 150,000 in a single day and turning the fertile plains to dust. (Realm of Dust)
• Vendrik Vanderboren establishes a colony on the Isle of Dread. (Dungeon #141 p.18)
• Pelorite Anderann Parquann leads a party to the Palace of Shattados. He is the only survivor of the excursion, and is afflicted with madness. (The Brightlands)
• A covey of vampire druids is destroyed in the vicinity of the Doomgrinder. (Doomgrinder)
• Adventurers in Kalstrand claim to have discovered one of the Crypts of the Iron Souls. (Glorvardum; Fading Lands)
• Rary discovers the location of the Scorpion Crown. (LGJ #22)
• In Brewfest, Finnadrel of Delaric claims to have escaped a "war without end" raging in Rauxes, though his account is disputed due to his past as a fraudster. (Places of Mystery I)
• Cauldron is afflicted by a kidnapping/slaver ring, eventually leading to a conflict with a demon lord. (The Shackled City Adventure Path begins.)

In Living Greyhawk

The 593 campaign year began on January 1, 2003 and ended on December 31, 2003.

Notes

Living Greyhawk content published in 2003 is set in 593 CY.

As was Wizards of the Coast's policy at the time, the Living Greyhawk campaign continuity advanced the timeline to 591 CY for works released in 2001, continuing on a year-for-year basis for all adventures and Wizards.com web articles up to to 598 CY in 2008. This timeline concurrency rule would also be applied in Dragon, Dungeon, and Polyhedron magazines. The Living Greyhawk Gazetteer (2000), set in 591 CY, and Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk (2007), set in 597 CY CY, explicitly set dates bookending these years.

In several Paizo forum threads, editor Erik Mona asserted that the rule applies in general to all Greyhawk adventures:

"The default assumption of all Greyhawk adventures in Dungeon ... is that the last digit of the year in which they were published corresponds to the last digit in the Common Year calendar... 59X CY (X= last digit of real world year). So adventures published in 2004, for example, take place in 594 CY."
