The Eastern Abbor-Alz March, in the eastern portion of the Abbor-Alz in the southeast of the Duchy of Urnst, is one of four marches on the outer edges of the duchy.
Description
[edit | edit source]Populated by some of the most honorable people in the entire Duchy, the eastern Abbor-Alz march is also one of the poorest and physically dangerous regions. Local barons live a simple life, free from much of the struggle that permeates the rest of the land. However, less settled, desert dervishes and humanoids run largely unchecked through the hills. The Abbor-Alz form a natural barrier against the Bright Desert.
History
[edit | edit source]Geography
[edit | edit source]The Eastern Abbor-Alz hills are rocky, granitic, and generally have poor mineral resources but there are deposits of gems and metals. Settlemens include: Castle Seh, where the March Warden resides, Bayreath, Fort Dellin, Scarsdale, Seh, Tolann and Vorleen,
Ecology
[edit | edit source]The flora here are similar to those in the Cairn Hills, although cacti and other desert plants (such as vampire cacti) become more prevalent near the Bright Desert, alpine plants more common in the mountains, and there are hardly any trees or bushes in some places. Fauna include camprats, llama-like animals, and hardy mountain goats. manticores, leucrottas, wyverns, a few dragons, and many other monsters infest the area.
Resources
[edit | edit source]House Samaris has numerous holdings throughout the region, primarily looking for gems.
House Vaer had a holding Seh for mining gems.[1]
