Evening Glory is a deity who teaches that love should never die—even when the body does. She appears as a flawlessly preserved, beautiful undead woman with icy white flesh, platinum-white hair, and baby-blue eyes. Her symbol is an open hand pierced through the palm by a heart-shaped hole.[1][2]

Relationships

[edit | edit source]

"Evening Glory usually sends a female lich as her herald. Planar allies are medium, large, and huge fire elementals."[1]

Dogma

[edit | edit source]

Her doctrine centers on the belief that true love deserves to last forever, unbroken by age, death, or decay. To preserve love eternally, followers seek undeath—not as corruption, but as perfect, everlasting preservation. Age, illness, and mortality are viewed as the only true enemies of love.[1]

Worshipers

[edit | edit source]

Her worshipers are often undead or those who intend to become undead, especially lovers who fear losing each other to time. While some would welcome outsiders, many other faiths are hostile because they view undeath as inherently evil. Evening Glory’s followers believe that desire and devotion justify defying death itself, and that undeath offers the only guarantee that love will never fade.[1]

Rites

[edit | edit source]

"The rites of Evening Glory are many, but the mere recitation of a love poem inspired by the goddess is considered a daily obligation by her followers."[1]

Temples

[edit | edit source]

"Temples to the Eternal Lover can show up anywhere, though when the authorities realize the true nature of the worship to this god, with its undead component, those temples are usually banned."[1]
