Geld's Maps is a cartography shop in the Free City of Greyhawk.
Description
[edit | edit source]"The master cartographer Lazzarin Geld (N male human expert 12) lives and works in a refurbished old manor house on the corner of Horseshoe Road and Cargo Street, at the eastern end of the River Quarter. His small office, just off the three-story structure’s main entry, holds a wide variety of regional maps including documents showing prospecting rights in the Cairn Hills, the location of tapped-out tombs in the high country surrounding Greyhawk, and interior maps of many of the city’s finest establishments, such as the Great Library and the Royal Opera House. Geld even stocks maps of portions of Castle Greyhawk. "[1]
"The rest of Geld’s splendid manor is the secret lodge of Greyhawk’s branch of the [Seekers of the Arcane], complete with a well-stocked library of arcane tomes and transcribed adventurers’ journals. Geld sometimes offers membership in the organization to those who impress him as dedicated treasure hunters and explorers of the unknown, granting them access to the Seekers’ library and a host of highly placed fellow members with a wide variety of skills and interests. In Legends of Greyhawk

In the Legends of Greyhawk campaign, Greyhawk City and the descriptions in Dungeon Master's Guide (2024) were used in the LoG launch adventures at GenCon 2025 (July 31—August 3, 2025).
In the second adventure of the Domain of Greyhawk region, Sword in the Shadows,[2] the owner is a gnome who is willing to help and sell useful maps of Greyhawk and surroundings. It is in its customary location.
Publishing history
[edit | edit source]Geld's Maps was created in Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk, and given the location identifier R14 (which only included some River Quarter locations pertinent to that adventure). On the Tetreault map, it is numbered R27.
