In Gary Gygax's Gord the Rogue novels, in Dance of Demons (1988), Gonduria is a vast continent on Oerth, located in the Agitoric Ocean west of Oerik.[1][note 1]
Also mentioned in the Sagard the Barbarian novel series, in The Ice Dragon (1985), this continent is home to Gondoria. The Gondorians in this version are a culture from a previous age, and are considered ancient and more advanced than contemporary cultures. Gondorians had a Great civilization whose ruins still remain. Myths about them say they were the progenitors of all humans (though they weren't quite human themselves), and that they sent out one hundred of greatest men and women just before being destroyed by some great cataclysm like earthquake or divine fire. There are other civilizations believed to have come before them.[2]
