Osnabrölt is a small gnomish community in the Kron Hills. It largely consists of warrens, a group of underground tunnels and homes.[1]

History

[edit | edit source]

In the late fifth century CY, a "special tomb" was built here, commissioned by a group of humans, to house an unknown "special treasure". The tale of this construction is detailed in Gnomicshperis.[2]

In 581 CY, the community is utterly decimated, and inhabitants live in an encampment above ground. The Sword of Kas is discovered stored in the ground here, though the residents here are sworn to not reveal the sword or its location.[1]

Geography

[edit | edit source]

Osnabrölt is about 120 miles due southwest of Verbobonc, in the western Kron Hills, near the foothills of the Lortmil Mountains.[3]

Cityscape

[edit | edit source]

The community is "a group of underground tunnels and homes[....] The village was originally built into a huge mound with windows and doors peeking out of the bushes and sod at various points."[4]

People

[edit | edit source]

Population

[edit | edit source]

Osnabrölt is almost exclusively a gnomish settlement, being an underground warren created by gnomes.

Notable individuals

[edit | edit source]

There are few citizens of Osnabrölt who are named, but among them are:

  • Old Gudrune (female gnome)—aged member of Osnabrölt's council; in 581 CY+ she is the sole leader/matriarch; an "excellent leader... both cunning and diplomatic."[5]
  • Maldo (male gnome)—leader of the town's guard

Languages

[edit | edit source]

In addition to the Overking's Common Tongue, the gnomish language is spoken here.
