Tamal is a plant native to the far south in the Amedio Jungle. It is a broadleaf pipeweed, but is not smoked. It is shredded and chewed.[1] Its leaves, when chewed regularly, stain the teeth a brown-black color.[2]
Domestically, tamal is produced in the warmer southern portions of both Keoland and the Principality of Ulek, and is sold in thick pouches.[1]
Chewing tamal leaves is a habit among some in the Flanaess (for example Rhennee noble bargemaster, Avrel Riskar).[2]
