"The jungle south of the Azteotl hills is considered the Zolteo jungle, named for the Olman goddess of pleasure and vice; the Olman claim that she planted this rich jungle to test man’s temperance. Largely controlled by the Ichamamna yuan-ti. it is also a home to tasloi, bugbears, and various snakelike monsters.[2]"

Ecology

[edit | edit source]

Flora

[edit | edit source]

In addition to the normal trees of the jungle, dangerous or carnivorous plants are known, like the mantrap and thornslinger (in the Odan Ridge).

Fauna

[edit | edit source]

The Zolteo is one of the few places other than the Kabrevo Plain where elephants are found.

The Zolteo jungle is known for its abundance of dangerous animals. There are many snakes, including constrictors, as well as venomous and even spitting snakes. Other creatures in both normal and giant varieties include bats, lizards, and jaguars. Giant insects are common[3], like bees and ants.

Notably, manitcores lair in the Zolteo jungle.
