History

[edit | edit source]

Comparably, Istivin has had a difficult time over the years. Istivin was invaded by drow in 577 CY.[1] and the city itself partially absorbed into the Abyss,[2] and a giant occupied the keep of the city.

As a consequence of that planar disruption, years later in 592 CY, an entity called the Morgoth attempted to pull Istivin into the Abyss a second time.

Geography

[edit | edit source]

The juncture of the Javan River and Davish River lies just east of Istivin. The capital sits on the northern banks of the Davish, just near where it turns southeast toward its headwaters.

There is no real woodlands within the borders of Sterich, this Istivin is mostly on plains.{{csb|GDQ|

In Living Greyhawk

[edit | edit source]

One of the campaign arcs in the "Core" region of the Living Greyhawk campaign is called the "Gloom and Disunion Cycle, taking place in 592 CY. It involved disguised drow being discovered in Istivin, a small drow enclave beneath the city, and the citizens becoming murderously paranoid.[8]
