Legends & Lore

Over the years, fans of the World of Greyhawk™ have used various methods and various platforms to discuss the setting. Many, many years ago, Gary Holian started a “listserv” email group called Greytalk where fans could read and respond to massive group-emails. Fans of the setting flocked to it whenever they found out about it, but it was a fairly small and unknown little cabal of people who knew a lot about the setting.

Eventually, the email list thrived, became bigger, and moved on to become a chat room on the IRC (when that was still a thing).

Even later, it inspired things like Facebook groups for chatting, YouTube channels, and Discord servers for the same.

2018 – Let the show begin!

In October of 2018, two long-time fans of the setting decided to do a thing. Anna B. Meyer and Mike “GreyhawkMike” Bridges got together and started a talk show: Legends & Lore. It was kind ofsomewhat intended to bring back what had always been called the “Thursday Night Chats”. They took to the newest livestreaming platform, Twitch.tv, to tryout a new talk-show format, where there could be hosts (and guests) talking about GH – sometimes a specific GH topic – and have all the fans chatting back in the chatroom function while they watched.

They partnered with the then-popular “Greyhawk Channel” begun by “DMShane”.

2019 – The show goes on!

Eventually, after three “seasons” of the show, the duo were found Jay “Lord Gosumba” Scott, who was a recent addition to the community and a popular tabletop minis live-play livestreamer.  He took up the production of the show, doing all the technical work for broadcasting.  He quickly became a great producer, helping to layout the show and use different cameras, graphics, layouts, and such, as well as lining up new guests and new shows.
